URBIK. Mérida, Yucatán!!!!

Last weekend I attended URBIK a design congress organized by the students and teachers of the UMSA University in Merida, Yucatan (MX).
Merida is such a great city, if you ever visit the south of Mexico it's a MUST SEE!! The people is so nice and freindly, the city is amazing and the food is the best ever.
Este pasado fin de semana estuve en el congreso URBIK organizado por alumnos y maestros de la UMSA en Mérida, Yucatán.
Quiero agradecer a toda la pandilla de merida que organizo, a los que me acompañaron y a todos los que fueron a mi taller y a mi conferencia son demasiados para poder mencionarlos a todos. También quiero agradecer a los conferencistas: a los Golpe, Choper, Morbo, Sandra, Watchavato, y Ruben.
Mérida es una ciudad increíble no solamente pro su arquitectura, el ambiente de la ciudad, la gente que es a toda madre y también su comida que es de las mejores de este pais, mi única queja es el calor infernalmente húmedo. Mérida, me ha tratado super bien y quiero agradecerles a todos por esta experiencia.

During the congress I gave a workshop where we designed posters for a venue in Mexico City "EL FORO ALICIA", the guys did a pretty good job, and here are some samples of their work, there are some missing but i didn't get all the file.
Durante mi estancia en Mérida di un taller donde hicimos un cartel para el foro Alicia, aunque en la foto no salen todos los que fueron al taller me gustaría agradecerles a todos por asistir y espero que hayan aprendido algo útil. NEW GIG POSTER!!!

That's right MILLENCOLLIN and A WILHELM SCREAM are coming to Mexico and I had the chance to make the poster for this great show! If you're around Mexico city around December don't miss it some other great local bands will be playing too!

DIBUJOS, COMIDA y CERVEZA!!!

Ayer fue el "DIBUJAMOS POR COMIDA No.2" y fue muy divertido, me gustaría agradecer a la pandilla BADABING, a Wakko, Cacha, Javier, Manuel y Dee, pero sobre todo a toda la gente que fue, de verdad yo no esperaba tanta gente fue un día muy grato lleno de dibujos, comida engordadora y cerveza, no puedo pedir mas de una tarde de viernes. GRACIAS!!

DIBUJAMOS POR COMIDA!!!!

Ahora que estoy de vuelta en el barrio estaré con unos viejos y nuevos amigos dibujando por comida y bebidas. Esto sera en BADABING COMICS, el 1 de Octubre, de 4 a 8 p.m. Esto es le primer evento del proyecto CMYK GANG, del cual les platicare en un futuro MUY cercano, ojala que puedan ir va a estar bien divertido!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!!!

It happened again, some RUDE BOY PRODUKTIONS stole my artwork for a band named THE WHISPERS.
I made the original flyer (on the left) for my friends WISECRACKER's minitour in 2009. Yesterday my friend Clemente from EVOEKORE showed me the one on the right, where RUDE BOY PRODUKTIONS just not only stole the illustration but they did a fucking shit job with Photoshop on it and also stretch it really bad.
Anyways, this isn't the first time this happens, at first i found this even flattering, but as it has been repeating over and over again I stopped finding funny people using my work for their own profit without any permission.
It seems that some people can't understand that this is my way of living and its not a game for me, i make a living out of this and shit like this damages my name, my image, my clients and therefore my business.
So in order to sort this out i had no choice but to block my website galleries (the comics area is going to be working though), erase the "usable" images from my blog and restrict my deviant art gallery. And i wont be able to upload any other new works until further notice. It sucks to do this, and I hate to do it, but i have no other choice until I find a way to fix this abuse and prevent it from happening again.
As I said the comics area on my website its going to be working still. And if you want to show some support try giving some shit to the people who make this happen www.myspace.com/rude_boy_produktions , I'm sure most of the designers/ artist out there would hate to deal with this, and I think the only way to stand against it its to tell the community who's doing shit so we can all give them shit even harder.

Una vez mas he sido robado, unos tales RUDE BOY PRODUKTIONS se robaron un trabajo mio para una tocada de unos tales THE WHISPERS. El poster original (a la izquierda) lo diseñe para un mini tour en Alemania para la banda WISECRACKER en el 2009. Ayer mi amigo Clemente de EVOEKORE me mando la imagen de la derecha donde RUDE BOY PRODUKTIONS no solo se robo mi ilustración si no que todavía le dio en su madre con Photoshop deformando la imagen y parchando toda mi diseño.
Esta no es la primera vez que esto sucede, y aunque al principio encontraba chistoso e inclusive halagador que alguien se molestara en usar mi trabajo, pero conforme ha estado pasando cada vez mas y mas ha dejado de ser divertido el hecho que haya gente que este usando mi trabajo para su propio beneficio sin derecho alguno.
Parece ser que hay gente que no puede entender que yo vivo de esto, y que para mi, de NINGUN MODO se trata de un juego o un hobby, yo de esto vivo y mierda como esta afecta mi nombre, mi reputación, mi trabajo, mis clientes y mi forma de vida.
Así que no tuve otra alternativa mas que bloquear las galerías de mi website, borrar todas las imágenes que se podían robar de mi blog y restringir el uso de mi galería en deviant art, y no volveré a subir arte nuevo a ninguno de estos sitios hasta que encuentre una manera de poder resolver esta situación y prevenir que se repita tan seguido como ha pasado últimamente.
El are de COMICS dentro de mi website aun estará funcionando, así que aun podrán seguir leyendo AURA cada día 1 y 16 de cada mes. Odio tener que hacer esto, pero gente como RUDE BOY PRODUKTIONS no me esta dejando otra alternativa.
Se que hay mucha gente que como yo se dedica a la ilustración y/o diseño, y que igual que yo han estado o corren el riesgo de encontrarse en la misma situación que yo me encuentro ahora, y creo que lo único que podemos hacer es unirnos contra la gente que se roba nuestro, echarlos de cabeza y entre todos echarles montón, somos muchos y estoy seguro que no seria nada grato recibir un montón de mails atacándolos por ladrones.
